Each of these blocks I purchased from an antique store, put some teal blue sashing between and bordered them to create this beautiful quilt! I think the teal blue works great with the mix of fabrics already present and being solid in color really makes the blocks pop!
This is just one of the blocks. There are twelve total and each block is a 24 inch square, making this quilt a queen in size!
Here is a close up of the sashing. I did try to keep the patterns simple with a lot of dense quilting around the flowers to make each petal rise up that much higher! I used the 100% polyester (dense) batting by Quilters dream. I really really like this batting. This one is the heavy wt. and feels really nice!
The center of each flower looks like this. Nice and dense!
Close of the corner and feathery boarder.
More on the boarders!
Of course, this would not be complete without a picture of the back side! Did I ever tell you how much I love the back side of a quilt?????
Well, there is no shortage of pictures on this quilt. Please do let me know what you think. There is a lot of quilting on this quilt, but I feel that technique/patterns used and the boarder/sashing fabric choices have helped with keeping the antique feel of this quilt.!
