Made up of a bed spring, wool, a little stuffing, glue gun, and yes paint! painted my bed spring! I made these for my sister in laws and my BFF for Mothers Day. They were all different and sooooo cute! I wish I would have taken a picture of all of them prior to giving them......Head smack!
Here is a close up of the boarder. I used orange thread on dark brown and just love how this looks! A little daring, but not too much!
Here is a close up of the scrapy area. This quilt was very easy to assemble, but I'll tell you.....Going through all my scraps, cutting them into 1" width strips of different lengths became very tedious....,
Close up of the bird panel. If you can't tell by now, I love birds! Actually I really like all animals, but really like bird fabric!
Close up of the center. Original I wanted to put the orange flowers through the middle too, but was affraid that I would not have enough thread to finish the job. So, I did half circle/circle pattern which came out pretty cool!
Some close up shots of the back! This is a good one of the flower border!
That's it for now! Tell me what think and if there is anything you have questions about!
This is a close up of the bird panel. I outlined the print and then put in hook swirls with some pebbling.
The center going up!
And the scrapy area! I put leaves through out and outlined the patterned fabric.
This is my very own made up pattern! I have typed out, illustrated, and completed this quilt now twice!
Being from the home of the Oregon Ducks you can only imaging how many Duck fans we have here! Of course my family is also huge Duck fans! QUACK!
So here is Marvin's Duck quilt! He stated that he has a "Man Cave" and need to make it complete by adding a Duck quilt and asked me to make him one! I hope you like it Marvin!!!
Here is a close up of the boarders!
I did two different quilting styles of the big blocks. This is the first!
This is the second block! Something that I was experimenting with and I really like it! All together breaks it up a bit and I think looks really cool! What do you think?
Of course I have to show the back side too! I love using solids for the back side so you can enjoy all of the quilting! I used four thread colors on this quilt; black, grey, green and yellow! On the black backing the stitches look really cool!
Just a few close ups of the back side. I don't want to bore you so I'm going to post 2.
And guess what???? I had enough fabric left plus a little from my stash to make a through pillow!
